Abstract

Migraine is a common chronic neurological disorder, characterized of recurrent episodic headaches and associated
symptoms. Migraine remains second among the world¡¯s causes of disability, and there is still a great deal of unmet
need for migraine prevention. Herein, we, the committee of clinical practice guideline of the Korean Headache
Society, reviewed and analyzed recent guidelines and evidence on migraine prevention through a systematic searching
Guideline international network, Ovid MEDLINE/EMBASE, Cochrane library, and KoreaMed. The overall
quality of the guidelines was assessed based on the Korean version of the Appraisal of Guidelines Research and
Evaluation-II tool. We proposed key recommendations of migraine prevention and summarized relevant rationale.
